Victim Robbed At Lafayette Apartment Complex

Friday night around 9 o’clock, Lafayette Police were called out to the 300 block of Spruce Drive after a man was the victim of an armed robbery.

The victim told police that he was standing outside of his apartment when a black male suspect walked up to him, and the man asked to use the victim’s cell phone.

The victim allowed the suspect to make a call, but the suspect then book the victim’s phone in his pocket.

The victim asked for his phone back, and that’s when he says the suspect pulled a gun on him.

The victim says as he was running away he heard a gunshot.

The suspect was seen running away on Spruce Drive, and the victim was not injured during the armed robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20′s wearing a black hooded sweat shirt along with white stripped shorts.

Detectives are asking anyone with any information about the case to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
