Victim Shot During Lafayette Armed Robbery, In Stable Condition

LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- Police are investigating a shooting during an armed robbery on Paul Breaux.

Lafayette Police Cpl. Paul Mouton said the victim was walking on Paul Breaux when he was approached by a gold four door vehicle.

Two of the three suspects inside the vehicle "exited and approached the victim," Mouton said. "One of the suspects produced a handgun and demanded the victim's money."

The suspect then shot his victim in the right thigh after taking his money, Mouton said.

All three suspects fled the scene in the vehicle. The victim is listed in stable condition at a local hospital.
