A woman is accused of faking her own kidnapping so she could get money from her parents.

State Police say Tabitha Fisher of Vidalia contacted her mom and dad, telling them she was going to be killed if they did not wire $350 to a business in Sulphur.  Authorities say she later changed the location, telling her parents to wire the money to a business in Westlake. Police say they found Fisher in a hotel room in no danger. They during questioning, she took out a syringe and tried to escape.

She's been booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center. She faces up to 16 years in prison and a $1,000 fine.
