Ville Platte Man Arrested On String Of Burglary Charges

VILLE PLATTE, La. (KPEL) -- Police have arrested a man believed to be responsible for a string of burglaries throughout Ville Platte.

Police say they were called out Friday to a bank where they noticed damage to the ATM and the back door the bank.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined Donald Edwards may also have robbed or attempted rob several other businesses, including a convenience store and a loan company.

Edwards has been charged with two counts of burglary, one count of attempted burglary, and three counts of criminal damage to property.
