Ville Platte Men Arrested For Breaking Into Homes

Two men from Ville Platte were arrested after allegedly breaking into several homes in St. Landry Parish.

Lt. Megan Vizena with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office says they received tips that 29-year-old Charles Soileau, Jr. and 33-year-old Michael McDaniel were breaking into homes.

After questioning, the pair admitted to breaking into a home in Opelousas. Several items were recovered from their homes and returned to the owner, Vizena says.

Both Soileau and McDaniel are being held in the St. Landry Parish Jail on bonds of $20,000.
