Vitter Against Charity Hospital

In a letter to HUD, Republican Senator David Vitter of Louisiana warns the proposed replacement for Katrina-damaged Charity Hospital in New Orleans is too big, unsustainable and thus far underfunded.  Vitter has long favored gutting the existing Charity Hospital and rebuilding a new, state-of-the-art facility within it.
