(Washington, D.C.) – U.S. Senator David Vitter (R-La.) today announced that the Imperial Calcasieu Regional Planning and Development Commission will be receiving $180,000 in economic development grants from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration. Funds will benefit Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jefferson Davis parishes.

“I’ll continue to be focused on developing new economic opportunities in Louisiana, and these funds will go toward bolstering economic activity in Southwest Louisiana,” said Vitter.

Funds from this grant will provide for the development and implementation of an economic development strategy to drive economy opportunity and diversify and strengthen regional economies in Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jefferson Davis parishes.
