The Securities and Exchange Commission announces victims of the alleged Stanford Group Ponzi Scheme are entitled to get special coverage for their losses, provided by another government agency, the Securities Investor Protection Corporation.
Senator David Vitter, who's been pushing for action from the SEC, says even though there'll likely be litigation, it's a huge step in the right direction. As a result of the ruling, Senator David Vitter is releasing the hold he placed Tuesday on the nominations of two SEC members.
