U.S. Senator David Vitter and Representative Charles Boustany will be in Lafayette for both a field hearing and a town hall meeting on Monday morning. The topic: "How Small Businesses Are Supporting America's Energy Renaissance."

The town hall meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. and will be held at Lafayette City Hall - Council Chambers at 705 W. University Avenue.

The field hearing will be held afterwards. Vitter says the purpose of it is "to discuss the effects of capital investments and developments in southwest Louisiana and how small businesses support the local economy and efforts to reduce President Obama’s unnecessary federal burdens on domestic energy production, as well as various ways the federal government can support job-creating initiatives."
