Vitter Pleased With Court’s Ruling For Alleged Stanford Ponzi Scheme Victims
Sen. David Vitter applauding some good news for victims of the alleged Stanford Ponzi scheme.
Last night, a federal court ruled that victims do not have to wait for a long, costly trial before they can get compensated. Vitter actually placed a hold on the nominations of two Securities and Exchange Commissioners until the Commission made a decision, and released the hold once they did.
The alleged fraud was made known a couple of years ago. People in Louisiana and along the Gulf region lost millions of dollars.
