SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — A man faces attempted murder charges after a shooting at a restaurant.

Police have arrested 56-year-old Alan Ferguson, saying he started shooting about 3 p.m. Saturday after he placed an order at the restaurant.

An employee, Judith Spann, was hit in the left arm as customers and employees tried to run from the building.

Spann was taken to University Medical Center in Shreveport, KSLA-TV (http://bit.ly/18Zm1UG) reports, and is expected to recover.

Police say Ferguson appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the shooting and was agitated about personal issues when he entered the restaurant.

After the shooting, a witness followed the man down the street and watched him until police arrived.

Police say Ferguson had a bottle of whiskey when they arrested him near an apartment complex.
