Wall Street Rises For Second Straight Day: Acadiana Business Index

Markets were lifted, by early reports from Europe, that the participation in a Greek debt swap will be high enough for Greece to receive another round of bailout funds.
In U.S. economic data, the number of U.S. workers filing new applications for unemployment benefits rose for the third consecutive week, more than forecasts
The U.S. Treasury said it selling another chunk of the American International Group stock it owns – about 6 billion dollars worth. AIG shares fell 3.9%.
Navistar International fell 1.9% after the commercial truck company reported a first-quarter loss.
Light sweet crude settled higher at $106.91 a barrel.
And, gold closed at $1,700 an ounce.
