Today Walt Bennetti, political blogger from ClickJefferson.com joined 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' and discussed Shreveport Representative Allen Seabaugh's endorsement of Bill Cassidy, Senator Mary Landrieu's new stance on ObamaCare and the Legislative Education Committee meeting today on Common Core with no public comment allowed.

Bennetti said,

Shreveport state Representative Alan Seabaugh sent an e-mail last night to friends and contributors and said he will not be running for the U.S. Senate...He did an 'about face' and endorsed Congressman Bill Cassidy.  He said 'in recent weeks Bill Cassidy has proven something to me and fellow conservatives'.  He didn't say what he proved but he did say he (Cassidy) had proved something.

When asked if Senator Mary Landrieu was flip-flopping on Obamacare Bennetti replied,

Oh yeah, Senator Landrieu is starting her normal election year flip-flopping finally admitting that Obamacare is broken and the promises made by the President that everyone will keep their healthcare if they like it is a mistake and we need to do something about that...She's waffling again.  She said the promise was made and it should be kept.

The Louisiana Legislative Education Committee meets today to discuss the Common Core Standard and according to Bennetti,

There's only two speakers, Louisiana Superintendent of Education John White and Chas Roemer, President of the BESE Board.  According to Steve Carter, the chairman of the Education Committee, because there's no pending legislation, we don't need from the public.  I think they want to get John White's side and Chas Roemer's side and they're hearing enough from people and we need to keep that going.  State legislators are hearing a lot of flack from parents and teachers...What's sad is that it's going to be a one-sided argument yet again.
