This isn't a joke! Trials are set to begin in March on a weight loss regimen built upon consuming capsules of human feces, according to a report from people.com. Elaine W.  Yu of Massachussetts General Hospital is heading up the project, which will provide freeze-dried feces from healthy donors of normal weight, in the hope of improving the insulin sensitivity of the obese trial participants. Similar experiments have reportedly been conducted in Europe with the fecal matter being introduced endoscopically. Sound a little weird? How about paying $500 a pound for coffee made from beans that have been pooped out by an elephant?...
