NASCAR is wildly popular all over the country. Discussions about who's the best driver in history get pretty animated. A close friend swears it's the late Dale Earnhardt, Sr. You could certainly make a case for 7-time champion Jimmie Johnson. In my book, Richard Petty is still the king. If you've always wanted a unique momento of the King's career, here's your chance! He's auctioning off a slew of items with spectacular provenance, including trophies, and cars that he's driven to victory lane in prestigious races like the Daytona 500. Why is Petty unloading these items? It's simple. He doesn't have room. Petty's museum is full, and there's more stuff than family members want. The 1974 Dodge Charger he drove to 31 wins, including the Daytona 500 will be on the block at Planet Hollywood in May. A 1978 Chevy Monte Carlo, in which the king won his 7th series championship will also be up for sale. If you're interested, clear some space in your garage. while you're at it, you may need to take a second mortgage on the house.
