The Deepwater Horizon blew up six years ago, today (April 20th). It's human nature to distance ourselves from bad memories. Many people in the gulf coast region seem to want to just forget about it. I can't help thinking of eleven families whose lives are forever changed. I did a lot of research in the months after the disaster, and wrote several blogs about the disaster and its impact. A major motion picture about the catastrophe is slated for a September 30th release. It stars Mark Wahlberg as chief electronics tech Mike Williams.
