The Water Institute will have a new director from Lafayette this Fall. The Water Institute of the Gulf has hired  professor Ehab Meselhe from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.  He will be there new director of natural systems modeling and monitoring.

Meselhe, a civil engineer, will work to finish up some projects he has here at UL before officially taking over his new post as Executive Director on September 1st.

The Water Institute is a nonprofit science group.  There goal is to gather research that deals with coastal restoration.  Meselhe will be like an ambassador of information between UL, the Water Institute and Louisiana's Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority.
