Lower revised flood water crests for the Atchafalaya Basin mean St. Landry Parish residents will not have to evacuate. St. Landry Sheriff Bobby Guidroz says waters are now not expected to rise as high as was once forecast. Sheriff Guidroz says Parish President Don Menard made the decision to lift the mandatory evacuation order for parts of St. Landry in the Atchafalaya Basin. He says no more gates at the Morganza Spillway are scheduled to be opened, so higher water isn't expected.
