Weekend Armed Robbery Suspect Sought

Lafayette Police are looking for a man who robbed a woman at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Glouchester Road Saturday night.

Police say the woman was walking towards an apartment when an unknown black male suspect came up to her.

The woman told police the man demanded that she give him her purse after pulling out a pistol.

The woman says she dropped the purse and ran.

The suspect picked up the purse, and he ran in the direction of Johnston Street.

The woman was not injured.

Police say the suspect is a black male, medium build who was wearing a dark jack and jeans.

They are asking in anyone with information about the armed robbery to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
