The state of Louisiana will be helping the town of Welsh to get some much needed upgrades.

Officials in the town that they need help in pay for upgrades to their electrical system to the tune of 50-thousand dollars.

Town Superintendent Rick Matte says the money will coming from Louisiana's capital outlay.  The town's electrical system will be getting much needed improvements.  The town will likely get the money next month.

The money will pay for improvements at the Welsh electrical substation as well as a 13,800-volt breaker.
