Police in Welsh are warning neighboring communities about a couple who may be trying to scam businesses out of money.

According to Det. Aaron East with the Welsh Police Department, the suspect walked into a convenience store Tuesday night and tried to get the cashier to open the safe by alleging he needed to be paid for work he actually did not perform.

A white woman waited for the suspect in a nearby vehicle, East said. It's possible the pair traveling from city to city in an attempt to scam people. The two were riding a newer model Chevrolet suburban.
