West Baton Rouge Shooting
PORT ALLEN, La. (AP) — A shooting outside a West Baton Rouge Parish gas station left one man dead.
West Baton Rouge Parish sheriff's spokesman Col. Richie Johnson tells The Advocate (http://bit.ly/KXvSeO ) 28-year-old Etan K. Irving was shot Saturday outside the Racetrac on La. 1 Highway South in Port Allen.
Johnson says deputies have arrested 23-year-old Carl L. Richardson and booked him with one count of second-degree murder.
Johnson say a dispute started inside the gas station and continued outside where the shooting occurred.
A West Baton Rouge Parish grand jury on Friday indicted Richardson's 22-year-old brother, Marcus Richardson, on a count of second-degree murder in another shooting.
Johnson said whether the two shootings are related is unclear.
