Westbound I-10 Closed Due To Overturned 18-Wheeler

7:00 AM UPDATE: Louisiana State Police Trooper Thomas Gossen says eastbound lanes have re-opened. Westbound lanes are still closed and traffic is being diverted.

I-10 is closed due to an overturned 18-wheeler that is leaking fuel. Louisiana State Police Trooper Thomas Gossen says it happened around 4:15 Tuesday morning on the westbound lanes of I-10 near mile marker 128. That's on the basin bridge.

Detours are posted. Westbound traffic is being diverted to US 190 at Lobdell. Eastbound lanes are also closed and non-local traffic is being diverted at I-49 northbound to Opelousas.
