Westlake Couple Booked With Cruelty To A Juvenile

WESTLAKE, La. (AP) — Authorities have arrested a Westlake couple after a man allegedly bit two young boys.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers tells the American Press 31-year-old Brandon L. Sullivan and 27-year-old Christy Willhite were booked with two counts of cruelty to a juvenile.

Myers says detectives were called to a Sulphur elementary school on Sept. 6 after receiving a call from the Department of Children and Family Services. She says detectives observed a 6-year-old boy with numerous marks and remnants of duct tape all over his body.

Authorities say Sullivan allegedly used the tape to bind the boy’s hands, wrists and ankles and also put duct tape around his head.

Authorities accused Sullivan of physically abusing a 7-year-old family member by biting the boy in the chest area.
