Dinesh D'Souza, director of Hillary's America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party, spoke today with Ken Romero and Dr. John today on Go Acadiana.

The film, released around the opening of the Democratic National Convention, outlines the history of the Democratic Party.

During the movie laced with dramatized footage of historical events, D'Souza shares what he thinks are the actual motivations of Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Fox News reported the film has become the top-grossing documentary of 2016 bringing in $5.2 million in the first 12 days of its release.

D'Souza, a naturalized U.S. citizen, was born in Mumbai in 1961. He came to the U.S. as an exchange student under a Rotary International program in 1978. He served as policy adviser to President Ronald Reagam in 1987-88. D' Souza has authored 19 books and co-starred, produced or directed four documentary films.

The film's final Acadiana showing will be at Lafayette's Grand 16 at 8:35 p.m. tonight (Thursday, Aug. 4). It will be released on DVD in October...just in time for the presidential election.
