What’s The World’s Happiest Country? It’s NOT The U.S.
American people are becoming increasingly unhappy. That's according to the latest World Happiness Report.
155 countries were surveyed. NBC reports the United States is still in the top 20, but we've dropped from #13 to #14.
Germany, The UK, and France all rank behind us. Canada ranked ahead of the U.S. at number 7.
The country ranked at #1 is Norway. It's a little ironic, because Norway's economy is heavily dependent on oil. We in South Louisiana are painfully aware of the slump in oil prices over the past couple of years. That would seem to indicate there's more to happiness than money.
That being said, it's clearly a factor.
The countries at the bottom are severely impoverished. You can see Aurora Borealis (the northern lights) from Norway.
I guess that counts for something...
