When Will Corporate America Learn? Don’t Mess With Success!
I went to the grocery last week and was about to pick up my usual 12-pack of Caffeine Free Diet Coke when I realized there was none to be had! After careful research it dawned on me that Coke had changed the package! Will they ever learn?
Seems like Coca-Cola would have learned something back in the '80s when some marketing genius came up with "new Coke" and sales plummeted. Just like politicians I guess marketing people don't learn from history. You changed the flavor and that was a disaster so what makes you think changing the package and can label at one of the most stressful times of the year will help sales? "Hello" rocket scientist, people are stressed and in a rush when they shop for anything at this time of year. We don't have time to read the fine print to see if we're buying the correct flavor of anything.
I for one don't want to see me caffeinated at Christmas time! I need NO caffeine to make up for the espresso coffee that gets me cranked up in the morning.
Note to marketing geniuses.... Don’t mess with the product if it's still selling better than any other beverage in the world!
