As the presidential candidates converge on Louisiana ahead of the Republican primary this Saturday, Ron Paul is nowhere to be found in the state.

Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum made a visit to Lafayette last week and his campaign says he visited Bossier City, Shreveport and Baton Rouge over the weekend. Santorum is expected back in the state Wednesday to visit the New Orleans area.

According to sources, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney is scheduled to deliver a speech in Shreveport on Friday.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich was on the Moon Griffon show today and is scheduled to visit Shreveport on Tuesday and Pineville on Wednesday.

But, if you look on Texas Congressman Ron Paul's website, he's in Los Angeles Monday and Tuesday for the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and there is no announcement on his site if or when he is coming to Louisiana. According to this USA Today article, his strategy appears to be concentrated on winning delegates rather than winning states.
