Whole Foods Market have announced they are not planning on building a store at the old Super K-Mart site. Lafayette City-Parish President Joey Durel announced yesterday that Whole Foods Market had signed a letter of intent to build a new store on the vacant lot on Ambassador Caffery. But Whole Foods Market spokesperson Kristina Bradford says that's not so. She says she doesn't know how the misunderstanding came to be but that Whole Foods Market is open to moving to Lafayette if the deal is right. The announcement yesterday came along with word that Burlington Coat Factory would takeover the vacant building. That, so far, will be good to go.
