Next year, Lafayette will get a Whole Foods Market store near the intersection of Ambassador Caffery and Settler's Trace Boulevard.

Whole Food spokeswoman Kristina Bradford says the store is slated to open next year and will be a 36,200-square-foot facility.  It will anchor the 95,000 square foot Ambassador Crossing development that is coming to the northeast corner of that intersection.

Bradford talked about the partnership that Whole Foods plans in the area, saying,

As one of the company’s core values is to give back to the communities in which its team members work and reside, the new locations will forge relationships and partner with local organizations.

Whole Foods has also announced they will also be adding another store in New Orleans, on North Broad Street and Bienville Avenue.  That adds up to five stores in the State of Louisiana, once these two new locations open their doors.
