I stopped at a popular Louisiana-based grocery story today to pick up a snack (a bag of granola and a banana - delicious), and this is what greeted me as I walked back out to the car.

Cigarette butts.  Less than 15 feet from a garbage can.  It's acts like this that give all smokers a bad name.

I know that not all smokers throw their cigarettes on the ground.  I know that there are some smokers who are considerate.  I would like to thank those who do respect the safety and health of others when they smoke.  I respect your right to smoke; I just hope that you respect my right to breathe clean air, and my right to have a beautiful community.

Come on, Lafayette: we are better than this!
