Surveillance video out of Spring, TX captured a woman abandoning a 2-year-old child.

UPDATE: The Montgomery County Sheriff's Department says that the woman and the child in the video have been identified.

The 2-year-old boy's mother had asked a friend to drop off the child with the boy's father in Spring because the mother was in the hospital. Spencer says the friend left the boy on the front step Wednesday night without waiting for anyone to open the door.

The problem here is that the boy's father actually lives next door and he didn't realize what was going on until news crews showed him the footage.
