Woman Arrested After Attempting To Hit Man With A Car

St. Mary Parish Sheriff's deputies arrested a Morgan City woman this morning after they say she tried to hit a man while driving in her car.

Deputies were called out to Pluto Street after getting reports of a driver trying to hit a man with her car.

Police came upon 24-year-old Leanna Gresco.  They say the woman was verbally fighting with a man, and she tried to hit him with her car.

Gresco was arrested just after midnight this morning on a charge of aggravated assault.

She was also charged with driving under suspension after they found out she has a suspended driver's liccense.

Gresco was taken to the St. Mary Parish Jail.
