St. Landry Parish Sheriff's investigators arrested an Opelousas woman for allegedly raping a 12-year-old child.

The mother complained to the Sheriff's Office.

Detectives say they spoke to the boy who told them the suspect, 21-year-old Arnesha Johnlouis of Opelousas, was horse playing with him.

He told deputies when the play stopped, the woman pulled off his pants, got on top of him, and she began to have sex with him.

The child was able to give information to detectives that identified Johnlouis as the person to ask about the case.

She was given the Miranda warning, and she agreed to talk without an attorney.

The woman allegedly said that she did have sex with the boy but "it was only an accident."

Her bond has been set at $10,000.

Detectives say this woman was known to the boy's family, and she was visiting the family at the time the alleged rape happened.
