Woman Arrested For Allegedly Raping Child She Babysat

23-year-old Denise Lapeyrouse of Dulac has been charged with aggravated rape for allegedly having sex with a boy she babysat.

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Captain Dawn Foret says in this Louisiana Radio Network article that the 17-year-old male told authorities that Lapeyrouse sexually assaulted him when he was between the ages of 11 and 13. At the time, Lapeyrouse was between the ages of 17 and 19.

"When we picked her up she confessed to having sex on multiple occasions with the juvenile," said Foret.

Talking with family members prompted the victim to alert authorities after not telling anyone what was happening until recently, according to Foret.
