Woman Arrested In Stabbing

An overnight stabbing lands a woman in the hospital and another in jail. Lafayette Police say the incident is believed to have begun at a downtown bar where the two women got into an argument. Authorities say the two women began arguing again sometime later, this time in the 1500 block of North University Avenue. That's when police say Charlene Leonard of Lafayette took out a knife and stabbed the other woman in the chest and arm. The victim remains in stable condition. Charlene Leonard is charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder. The case remains under investigation.
