Louisiana State Police say the woman driving a crash that crashed into two Iberia Parish employees, killing them, has been charged on several counts.

State Police report that 26-year-old Alicia Marie Mire of New Iberia has been charged with the following:

  • Two counts of negligent homicide
  • Negligent injuring
  • Reckless operation
  • No driver’s license

Once Mire is released from the hospital, she will be booked into the Iberia Parish Jail.

The two workers were killed Tuesday on the shoulder of Highway 90 after Mire’s car hit their parish vehicle.

48-year-old Ross Migues of Lydia and 57-year-old Jody Anthony of St. Martinville were putting up some signs about rezoning when their work truck, which had its lights on, was hit by Mire’s car.
