A woman in South Carolina spent a night in jail because she failed to return a VHS movie she rented from a now defunct video store in 2005.

Kayla Michelle Finley of Pickens, S.C. was arrested at the county's sheriff's office when she went there for another reason. As deputies were helping her, they discovered a warrant.

Finley allegedly rented the "Monster-In-Law," a movie starring Jennifer Lopez, from Dalton Videos. The store is now out of business, but the owner said he sent Finley several certified letters letting her know that she needed to return the movie or turn herself in.

Finley said she did not receive the letters, though, because she had to move out of state for her husband's job, CNN reported.

"I'm no criminal, but Pickens County Sheriff's office sure made me feel like I was," she reportedly wrote on the Facebook page of a local Fox affiliate.

Finley said she will fight the misdemeanor charge.
