Woman Killed In Lafayette Crash

LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — Police in Lafayette say a woman was killed when her car was struck at an intersection in the city.

The accident happened late Wednesday night. Authorities say the woman in a 2005 Buick Lacrosse was making a left turn when her car was struck by a 2001 Ford Mustang. The man who was driving the Mustang was cited for failing to obey a traffic signal.

The woman's name has not been made public.
