Arrest Made for Extortion in Carencro Area

Two people have been arrested on extortion charges in the Carencro area.  That after a call came in from St. Landry Parish.

According to police, someone called the husband of Paige Allyse Lanclos claiming that they had his wife duct taped and said they would kill her unless he paid them.

Detectives were able to trace the phone call to the Carencro area.  They found the wife with Jordan T. Sterling and she was unharmed.

They questioned Lanclos and she admitted that she was never in any danger.  She said that this was an attempt to get even with her husband because she said that he had taken her money.

Lanclos and Sterling were arrested and charged and are expected in court.
