BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — A Baker woman has been sentenced to two years of probation for her role in a fraudulent scheme that netted $450,634 from Medicare. The Advocate reports 46-year-old Bradis D. Hicks had pleaded guilty to one count of wrongful disclosure of individually identifiable health information. Hicks was sentenced on Thursday. Her plea agreement, signed by Assistant U.S. Attorney Alan A. Stevens and Hicks' attorney, Thomas C. Damico, required her cooperation in return for prosecutors' pledge not to pursue more charges. Baton Rouge residents Thompson W. Chinwoh, Samuel B. Johnson and Stephanie Dangerfield also have pleaded guilty. Chinwoh is scheduled to be sentenced June 16. Sentencing dates for Johnson and Dangerfield have not yet been announced by U.S. District Judge James J. Brady.
