Work Release Van Filled With Inmates In Accident This Morning
This morning around 6:00, a van left the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville, LA. when it was side-swiped by a garbage truck on Frontage Rd. near the Garden City overpass.
14 inmates were riding in the van, and none made an escape attempt after the accident. One inmate was transported to Franklin Foundation Hospital with a shoulder injury.
The crash is being investigated by Louisiana State Police.
