More work will happen starting on the first phase of a project to widen Interstate Ten from four lanes to six.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development says that work will begin tonight to remove the reflectors on the westbound left lane of the interstate, so you can expect that closure starting at around 8 o’clock tonight and wrapping up at 6 o’clock tomorrow morning.

That work will take place between I-49 and the Breaux Bridge exit at mile marker 109.

Tuesday night, workers will be closing the right lane on the westbound side of Interstate Ten between Breaux Bridge and the Sawmill Overpass. They will be doing a striping operation.

Tomorrow, night workers will also intermittently have to close the on and off ramps on the westbound side of Interstate Ten in Breaux Bridge for striping work.

Wednesday night, workers will be doing striping work. They will close the right lane on the westbound side of the interstate between Sawmill Overpass and Interstate 49.

Also Wednesday night, workers will be intermittently closing the westbound on and off ramps at Louisiana Avenue so they do striping.
