Around 11:30 yesterday morning, Louisiana State Police responded to a call about a two vehicle crash on Highway 10 near Oakdale.

A truck, driven by 17 year-old Kyle Landry along with his passenger Cade Guillory, was heading east on the highway when it ran off the right side of the road and he over-corrected.

This caused the truck to sideswipe a car driven by 20 year-old Lindsay Seal, who was wearing a seat belt and only sustained minor injuries.

The truck then flipped and hit some trees on the side of the road before coming to a stop. The two teens inside, who were wearing seat belts, were pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining heavy injuries.

Police believe that excessive speed was a factor in the incident. Toxicology samples have been submitted as well.

The crash remains under investigation.
