Jude Walker from our sister-station 97.3 The DAWG joined 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' today to help kick-off their annual Country Cares St. Jude Radiothon.  In an effort to raise money for research at the St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennesee, 97.3 The DAWG teams up with another of our TownSquare Media stations HOT 107.9 to broadcast a two day event.  Walker said,

Our conference room here at 1749 Bertrand Drive has been turned into our call-center.  Ladies from ESA (Episcopal School of Acadiana) are answering the phone.  You can call in your pledge and become a Partner in Hope for just $20 a month.  The number to call is 1-800-364-9665.

According to Walker,

Money raised goes directly to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to fund research in the fight against leukemia and to cover the cost of care for children affected by this disease.  No child is ever refused care regardless of ability to pay.  St. Jude's absorbs any cost not covered by insurance.

The phone lines will be open today and tomorrow at 1-800-364-9665.  If you would like to make a one time donation you can drop off a check or cash during regular business hours at 1749 Bertrand Drive here in Lafayette.
