Youngsville Man Facing Juvenile Molestation, Rape Charges

YOUNGSVILLE, La. (KPEL) -- A Youngsville man has been arrested on 11 counts of molestation and three counts of aggravated rape involving two juvenile victims, according to officials with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's Office Capt. Kip Judice said Tuesday that deputies were notified on Sept. 23 by the parents of one of the victims that 46-year-old Alfred Stratton behaved inappropriately with her daughter.

Stratton allegedly touched the victim inappropriately when she was as young as 7-years-old, Judice said. When she was 9, Judice said that Stratton "forced the victim to have vaginal intercourse." He later forced the victim's cousin to have sex with him as well, Judice said.

"[The incidents] appeared to begin with a lot less intrusion and then graduated to a very heinous act," Judice said.

The most recent instance allegedly happened on Sept. 21, Judice said.

Stratton was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on a $1.575 million bond.
