The Youngsville Sports Complex is expected to open in the early part of next year.

Youngsville Mayor Wilson Viator has given the Broussard Youngsville Youth Association a deadline of two weeks to make up their minds on whether or not they will play their baseball games at the new complex.

The mayor says members of their town met with the group a month and a half ago to offer them the use of the facility.  Viator says they told the group they would charge them for $10 a child.

The Broussard Youngsville Youth Association charges $80 per child for baseball registration, and the facility they use right now has not been upgraded for many years.

Mayor Viator says if the BYYA doesn't agree to the terms of $10 a child to use the new facility, then they would consider forming their own youth group for children's sports.
