Youngsville Police continue to investigate after a shooting happened last night around 11:30 in the 100 block of Cedar Hills.  Police say they responded to 102 Cedar Hills for a domestic disturbance call.

Officials say that a physical disturbance was going on between the owner of the home, Tammy Romero and her roommate, Victor Wirtz.  Police say that Romero was trying to call 911 when Wirtz grabbed the phone.  Police say then that Romero got a hand gun from a nearby drawer, and she fired a shot.  Police say say Wirtz was shot from a single round fired by Romero, and he was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital.

Romero was charged with 2nd degree murder, and she was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
