1 Dead, 1 Injured, 1 Booked In Shreveport Shooting
SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — A Shreveport man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left one man dead and another seriously injured.
Police arrested 22-year-old LaQuinn Murray after receiving tips about the Wednesday morning shooting. Murray was booked on charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.
The shooting happened just before 3 a.m. Wednesday. Police said a masked gunman opened fire on a group of young men who were talking near an apartment complex.
Twenty-six-year-old Jonathan Simo — a former standout player at Shreveport's Loyola College Prep — was pronounced dead at the scene; 18-year-old Devon Marshall of Shreveport was hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds.
