ST. FRANCISVILLE, La. (AP) — West Feliciana Parish sheriff's deputies have recovered 10 four-wheel motorcycles stolen in recent weeks in two parishes and one Mississippi county.

Sheriff J. Austin Daniel said Monday that eight of the recovered all-terrain vehicles are among 11 reported stolen in West Feliciana Parish in the past month. Daniel said one of the two remaining ATVs was reported stolen in Woodville, Miss., and the other in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Daniel tells The Advocate that 23-year-old Ernest Butler Jr. of the Solitude community in West Feliciana Parish was booked with three counts of felony theft in connection with three four-wheelers he offered to sell to an undercover officer.

He said additional arrests also are expected.

It could not be determined if Butler has an attorney.
